Cantigny Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk Saturday, November 2nd 9 am Cantigny’s 9th annual Veteran’s Day 5K Run/Walk is a charitable run with all proceeds donated to Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. The Race is limited to the first 900 runners and walkers. The 5K Course The 5K course is USATF (#IL-04078-JW) certified entirely on Cantigny grounds and a blacktop surface. The race starts at the Visitors Center and proceeds out onto the rolling hills of the Cantigny Golf course and back to the Visitors Center. Participants will run past the 1st Division Museum, the Robert R. McCormick Museum, and finish by running through Cantigny Gardens to the Visitors Center. The portion on the golf course will be run on the cart paths. Digital clocks or timers will be located at mile markers. Water stations will be set up at the half way mark and at the start/finish line. Registration 5K Run/Walk race participants are limited to the first 900 entries. On-line registration is available at signmeup.com To register by mail, complete the registration form in the brochure and mail it to the address on the form, postmarked no later than Friday, October 12, 2012. You may fax the completed form to 630 260 8160. On-line and faxed registrations will be accepted as long as the registration limit (900) has not been reached or until Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 4 pm.
