Overnight Camping Information
Camping Basics
Campsite reservations are limited
to nationally recognized youth groups (i.e., BSA, GSA, AWANA, YMCA
Adventure Guides, etc.). All campouts are FREE of charge.
Camping is year round, except during January when the
park is closed. Overnight camping is allowed on Friday and
Saturday nights (there is no camping during holiday weekends
or special event weekends). Only Scouts/youth group members
and their leaders/parents may camp. Family camping is not
permitted.
We have three campsites available and each holds up to 75 people.
Only one campsite per group may be accommodated. Cantigny is able
to accommodate tent camping only (no campers or trailers).
Cantigny's campgrounds offer established fire pits,
firewood, picnic tables and trash collection.
Campground restrooms, showers, potable water and recycling bins
are located in the newly constructed Outdoor Education Center,
adjacent to the campsites.
Advanced reservations are required. For Boy and Girl Scouts, a Certificate of Insurance and Tour Permit from your local council are also required.
Cantigny has a partnership with Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and we follow their seven principles. Please review and respect the seven principles along with our other guidelines
below.
