Join us in a celebration of the hard-working women of World War II.

Drop-In Activities from 1-4 pm

At the Rosie Photo Station, you can strike your best pose as you step right into a “We Can Do It!” propaganda poster. While you’re getting ready for your photo, don’t forget to make your ID tag for when you report to work and inspire others to join the war effort at the Propaganda art station.

Test yourself with challenges based on the real-life trials of women in World War II.

Enlist in the Army Nurse Corp and learn about women who served on the war front. Do you have what it takes to pass their boot camp?

Need a break, meet up with our storyteller to hear a special reading of, Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty.

Play ball! Learn more about the amazing women of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League as you step up to the plate with the ballplayers of the Rockford Peaches.

Dance with us! Popular throughout the 1940s, Swing Dancing was a way that soldiers and those on the home front could ease their worry about the war. Learn the basics of some of the most popular dance moves, and we will put together a dance routine for the Andrew Sisters classic song, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”
