Join us on the third Thursday of the month March through December for a lunch and learn opportunity! We’ll be exploring topics related to Cantigny Park and local history.
Have you ever wondered why Colonel McCormick had the name “Mason” inscribed on his library? Many of our visitors have asked about this specific brick, so we’ve invited Scott Stroh, the Director of Gunston Hall to join us virtually and give us an overview of George Mason. Mason was the main author of the Virginia Declaration of Rights, which heavily influenced the Bill of Rights. Colonel McCormick was a huge fan of the 1st Amendment, so we’re betting that is why he so admired Mason! As Mason’s home has also become a museum, we’ll also learn a little about Gunston Hall.
