Join us on the third Thursday of the month March through December for a lunch and learn opportunity! We’ll be exploring topics related to Cantigny Park and local history.
Will Buhlig, McCormick Museum Director of Operations, explores how Robert R. McCormick promoted environmentally progressive agriculture at a 1,300-acre Tribune-owned experimental farm in Yorkville, IL. Through the pages of the Chicago Tribune, readers enjoyed daily reports, both serious and lighthearted, informing ‘city folks’ about Midwestern farm life. We will also discuss Col. McCormick’s dream of a blue-colored cow herd and why famed architect Mies van der Rohe designed a house on the farm.
This program includes built-in closed captioning through Zoom.
