Opera Highlights with SBC Singers

Never fear, opera is here! No need to drive all the way to downtown Chicago. Singers from Sinfonietta Bel Canto will present a variety of their repertoire. Delightful and informative if you are new to opera or an aficionado of this musical art form.
This concert will be indoor with limited seating and is free with paid parking. There will be an intermission and concert length is subject to change.

Celeste Martino, soprano
Celeste Martino is delighted to sing at Cantigny Park. She has sung in numerous professional performances throughout the United States and Europe. Recently she sang Suor Angelica, Italian Puccini opera; Sandrina in a German Mozart opera for Sinfonietta Bel Canto; appearing annually for Gala and Mayslake. Among other opera roles she enjoyed singing Rosalinda and Violetta with the Elgin Opera. Also Concerts for Hinsdale Lyric Opera Chapter; Celeste debuted Brahms Requiem with the Downers Grove Choral Society; Coronation Mass and Messiah with the Hinsdale Chorale. She appears annually for the Western Springs and Hinsdale Music Clubs. Celeste sings in nine languages, teaches voice, is a health coach, and has a young family. She holds a BM, cum laude, from the University of Houston with a minor in Italian, and MM studies at DePaul University School of Music in vocal performance.
Angela Presutti Korbitz, soprano
Angela Presutti Korbitz is a professional member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and The Grant Park Chorus. She has appeared as a soloist and small ensemble member with the CSO and as a soloist with The Grant Park Orchestra of Chicago, Bel Canto of Milwaukee, The Park Ridge Civic Orchestra, Salt Creek Sinfonietta, Sinfonietta Bel Canto, and The Naples Philharmonic. Angela holds degrees from The University of Illinois and Roosevelt University. She has also studied at the International Institute of Vocal Arts and The Britten-Pears School. Angela is on faculty at VanderCook College of Music and North Central College.
Jonathon Joseph Larson, tenor
Tenor, Jonathon Joseph Larson is based in Chicago and sings throughout the Midwest. He earned his Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from North Park University in 2015 under Jeff Ray. His Roles have included: Tamino and from Die Zauberfötte, Don Basilio from Le Nozze di Figaro, Tito from La Clemenza di Tito, Danilo from Die Lustige Witwe, Tinca in Il Tabarro, Richard Dauntless in Ruddigore, Il Podesta in La Finta Giardiniera, and Don Ottavio from Don Giovanni. You can seen Jonathon perform throughout the Chicago area!
Michael Doll, baritone
Michael Doll has a MM degree in vocal performance/opera from the University of Michigan. Most recently, Michael has performed leading roles with Sinfonietta Bel Canto as Michele in Il Tabarro, LA Verbena De La Paloma and Les Bavards. He is also active in theater and singing in the Naperville area. When he is not performing you can find him working as a carpenter/ contractor in the Naperville area.
Kevin Wong, accompanying pianist
Kevin Wong is the accompanist and organist for First United Methodist Church in Lagrange. He also accompanies the Elmhurst Choral Union and the Village Voices. He has degrees in Music and German from Elmhurst College and Roosevelt University.
