Sip and Stroll
Thursday, August 10, 6-9 pm
Enjoy a laid back, summer evening at Cantigny. Stroll the gardens with a beverage and immerse yourself in the ambiance of the park. Guided walks, including Garden Tours, History Hikes, Tank Park Tours, and First in War tours, will be offered. One free drink (soda, wine, or beer) is included in the ticket price. Drink ticket will be provided at the event. Food will be available for purchase on site.
Tours beginning 6:15 and 7:30 pm
Garden Tours will meet behind the Visitors Center.
This walking tour will visit multiple garden locations on the grounds and provide guests with an overview of their history, importance, and purpose.
History Hikes will meet in front of the Visitors Center.
Our staff will share their favorite stories about Cantigny Park and the McCormick family as we visit some of the most interesting and beautiful locations around the park.
Tank Park Tours will meet in front of the First Division Museum.
This tour will focus on the history and evolution of U.S. Army military tanks from humble beginnings to titans of technology through our collection of 12 vehicles dating back to World War I.
First in War Tours will meet in the First Division Museum lobby. Please note, drinks are not allowed inside the museum galleries.
Take a guided tour through the trenches of World War I, investigate an underground bunker, explore Omaha Beach after D-Day, travel the jungles of Vietnam, and much more!
