SOLD OUT – Walk on the Wild Side
Visitors Center Kiosk
Thursday, October 15
Plants bring people together. Plants can inspire us — and teach us things too. We’re hoping that you’ll join us on a Horticulture Staff tour that will meet the third Thursday of each month from April through October. We’ll be looking at trees and shrubs. At perennials and annuals. At natives and tropicals. Even aquatic plants. Each staff member will pick their favorite plant of the month, each month. We’ll give a bit of science (botanical names and culture) but we’ll also be telling some stories and some fun facts. Each staff member will give a two-minute explanation of why that plant is their favorite and then we’ll move on to the next plant. The route will be a bit different each month. Occasionally we may even venture behind the construction fences!
If you’d like to join us, please meet at the Visitors Center. There is no fee for this tour but please register for this walk. We ask that you please wear a mask during this program as we have found it difficult to always stay 6′ apart from each other during this tour.
