Don’t forget to bring along proof of up-to-date vaccinations for the safety of all. To keep everyone in check\, we kindly request that dogs remain on leashes and accompanied by their humans at all times. You’ll find sanitation stations throughout the park\, so please be on POOch Patrol and clean up after your pal. \nWhile our buildings are off-limits to our furry pals\, they’re guaranteed to have a blast exploring the great outdoors. So\, let the barking begin\, and let’s make sure our furry guests have an absolute ball! DESCRIPTION:Accessible Birding\nVisitors Center\nWednesday\, October 8\, 8:30 am \nAccessible Birding events at Cantigny aim to make a fun activity available to all. Ideal for those with limited mobility\, the outing will last about 90 minutes or maybe a bit longer if we get carried away. Participants should feel free to stay as long as they wish. We will be on firm or hard surfaces — fine for those using canes\, walkers and wheelchairs. We’ll search for birds at a slow and easy pace\, staying fairly close to the Visitors Center. \nBeginning birders are welcome\, and binoculars will be available for borrowing (first come\, first serve). Wheelchairs are also available for sign-out at the Visitors Center information kiosk. \nLimit 15 participants (including caregivers).  All must register (including Cantigny Park members) by using the button below. DESCRIPTION:Cantigny 5K Run/Walk 2025\nSaturday\, October 18\nRegistration begins April 11! \nThe Cantigny 5K Run/Walk is a benefit for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans\, and registrants may enjoy access to Cantigny for the rest of the afternoon. \nThe course tours the grounds of Cantigny. Participants will run past Cantigny’s Gardens\, the Robert R. McCormick House\, and the First Division Museum. Please note that due to construction at Cantigny Golf\, the course will be modified this year. Digital clocks or timers will be located at mile markers. Water stations will be set up at the halfway mark and at the start/finish line. \nOnline registration is now closed\, but in-person registration is available at Cantigny until Saturday morning. \nMidwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans\nAll proceeds from the Cantigny 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton\, IL. The shelter is a not-for-profit transitional living facility that provides assistance to U.S. veterans of any era\, the opportunity to return to useful and productive lives by providing them with the skills for independent living. \nRegistration Information\n5K chip-timed race (price is for any runner or walker of any age who plans to participate)\n$25 until July 1\n$30 (July 2 – September 19)\n$35 (September 20 – October 15)\n$40 (October 16 – October 17\, Must register in person at Cantigny) \n1-Mile Run (non-chipped\, for ages 6-10): $5\n1/4-Mile Run (non-chipped\, for ages 0-5): $5 \nRace Schedule\nFriday\, October 17\, 2025\n11 am – 7 pm: Early packet pick-up\, Visitors Center \nSaturday\, October 18\, 2025\n7 am – 8:45 am: Packet Pick-up\, Visitors Center\n7:30 am – 12:30 pm: American Legion Pancake Breakfast\n9 am: 5K Run/Walk Start\n10 am: 5K Awards Ceremony\, followed by 1-mile and ¼-mile runs \nYour disposable timing chip will be included with your packet and attached to the back of your bib number.\nThe parking fee will be waived for registered participants picking up their packets. \n2025 Results \n2025 Course\nDue to the course renovation at Cantigny Golf\, our 5k course will not be certified this year or next. This year’s course is mapped below.  Most of the course routes through Cantigny Golf. The course was mapped as close to 3.1 miles as possible using “Map My Run”\, so the distance is uncertified. Please understand if your smart devices track differently during the race. \n \nAwards Ceremony\nAt approximately 10 am\, outside in the South Lot\, near the finish line\, the awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers. \nThe top three male and female overall finishers for the 1-Mile and 1/4-Mile runs will also receive an award immediately following the end of each race. \nAwards will be given only to registered runners with a valid chip. The official race results provided by Mattoon Multisport will be used for overall and age group rankings. The first 500 finishers will receive a participation medal. \nParking\nAmple free parking for race participants and volunteers is available close to the Visitors Center and the finish line\, so participants can leave gear in their car.

To keep everyone in check\, we kindly request that dogs remain on leashes and accompanied by their humans at all times. You’ll find sanitation stations throughout the park\, so please be on POOch Patrol and clean up after your pal. \nWhile our buildings are off-limits to our furry pals\, they’re guaranteed to have a blast exploring the great outdoors. So\, let the barking begin\, and let’s make sure our furry guests have an absolute ball! DESCRIPTION:Accessible Birding\nVisitors Center\nThursday\, October 23\, 3 pm \nAccessible Birding events at Cantigny aim to make a fun activity available to all. Ideal for those with limited mobility\, the outing will last about 90 minutes or maybe a bit longer if we get carried away. Participants should feel free to stay as long as they wish. We will be on firm or hard surfaces — fine for those using canes\, walkers and wheelchairs. We’ll search for birds at a slow and easy pace\, staying fairly close to the Visitors Center. \nBeginning birders are welcome\, and binoculars will be available for borrowing (first come\, first serve). Wheelchairs are also available for sign-out at the Visitors Center information kiosk. \nLimit 15 participants (including caregivers).  All must register (including Cantigny Park members) by using the button below. John Geiringer\, a partner at Barack Ferrazzano law firm and a Co-Director of the Consortium for the Research and Study of Holocaust and the Law (CRSHL) at the Chicago-Kent College of Law’s Center for National Security and Human Rights Law\, will place the IMT in historical context and discuss how it led to the laws of armed conflict that we have today.\n\nRegister
