Accessible Birding
Visitors Center
November 8, 9 am
Accessible Birding events at Cantigny aim to make a fun activity available to ALL. This outing, co-sponsored by the DuPage Birding Club, is ideal for those with limited mobility. It will last about 90 minutes or maybe a bit longer if the birding is good. Participants should feel free to stay as long as they wish. We will be on firm or hard surfaces — fine for those using canes, walkers and wheelchairs. We’ll search for birds at a slow and easy pace, staying fairly close to the Visitors Center.
Beginning birders are welcome, and binoculars will be available for borrowing (first come, first serve). Wheelchairs are also available for sign-out at the Visitors Center information kiosk.
Limit 15 participants. Use the button below to register. The $5 program fee includes parking. Accompanying caregivers are free and need not register.
If you need assistance with registration, please call Kristan at 630.260.8162.
