WE’RE SORRY, REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS FULL

Accessible Birding

Accessible Birding events at Cantigny aim to make a fun activity available to all. This outing, co-sponsored by the DuPage Birding Club, is ideal for those with limited mobility. It will last about 90 minutes or maybe a bit longer if the birding is good. Participants should feel free to stay as long as they wish. We will be on firm or hard surfaces — fine for those using canes, walkers and wheelchairs. We’ll search for birds at a slow and easy pace, staying fairly close to the Visitors Center.

Beginning birders are welcome, and binoculars will be available for borrowing (first come, first serve). Wheelchairs are also available for sign-out at the Visitors Center information kiosk.

Limit 15 participants (including caregivers). Sign up by sending an email to jreiter@cantigny.org. Please put “June 17 Birding” on the Subject line. Registered participants will receive a confirmation email, and also a “pre-trip” email a few days before the outing. (If you are not an email user, call Jeff at 630.260.8218)

This is a free event but does not include parking, which is $5 per car for bird walks.  Parking is free for Cantigny Park members.
