Join us for an enchanting evening tour through Cantigny’s French-inspired gardens, featuring the captivating garden displays of Jean de la Fontaine’s fables. Led by Cantigny’s Director of Horticulture, Jamie Burghardt, and paired with small bites and cocktails, this leisurely tour explores the themes of the French ballet Les Animaux modèles, composed by Francis Poulenc. The ballet’s stunning six-part orchestral suite, inspired by the 17th century fables, is beautifully interpreted in Cantigny’s summer garden beds. During your tour, Jamie will tell the stories behind the fables, and the gardens that bring them to life.
