West Suburban Symphony: Cinema Classics

The always entertaining West Suburban Symphony, led by Maestro Peter Lipari, presents “Cinema Classics,” a performance of legendary music from hit movies from the mid-20th century forward. The evening will feature the music of John Williams, Erich Korngold, Mel Brooks, and others, with selections from Star Trek and Harry Potter films, The Producers, King Kong, 1941, Lincoln, The Cowboys, Sea Hawk, and Robin Hood and His Merry Men. The program also includes the symphony’s traditional salute to veterans, with a sing-along to the anthems of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Seating is on the lawn. Folding chairs and/or blankets are recommended. Concessions available for sale; picnics welcome. No tickets or registration needed.
Symphony Soirée, $130
6 – 8:30 pm
Ready for something delicious and extraordinary? Enjoy the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra on a higher level with a culinary experience featuring an all-you-can eat premium buffet in a private outdoor setting. Your “soirée” before and during the WSSO’s “Cinema Classics” performance includes open bar service with beer and wine (until 8:30), plus first access to the seating area near the stage. (We recommend placing your chairs in your preferred spot before dinner.)
