Veteran Internship Program
As part of Robert R. McCormick’s commitment to supporting veterans, Cantigny is proud to host a 16-week Veteran Internship Program for Spring 2025, designed to assist veterans in their transition from the military to the civilian workforce.
The program offers a structured 40-hour schedule with weekly cohorts and shadow days, covering essential topics such as career exploration, resume workshops, networking, and more!
With exciting roles in both indoor and outdoor settings, this internship goes beyond the ordinary—offering opportunities where every moment contributes to both personal and professional development
Positions are available in the following departments
- First Division Museum
- Forestry & Grounds
- Golf
- Horticulture
- Security
Pay Rate: $20 per hour
What you will do
Veteran interns will immerse themselves in a dynamic 16-week experience, dedicating 40 hours per week to their chosen department. Beyond hands-on work, the program prioritizes holistic growth through weekly cohorts, fostering workforce resourcefulness, and shadow days that provide insights into diverse career focuses and fields. To enrich their journey, curated field trips and social hours will be included, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and collaborative learning.
Who should apply?
Honorably discharged veterans seeking interim employment and guidance in creating a plan for transitioning to the civilian workforce.
