Simple Men and Southern Nights

Parade Field
Sunday, August 25, 3-5pm

Simple Men and Southern Nights takes you back to the 1970’s when Southern Rock ruled the airwaves. In the first set, you will hear all your favorites from Southern Rock staples like the Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band, .38 Special, ZZ Top, Glenn Campbell, the Georgia Satellites, Molly Hatchett and more. You’ll hear other Southern Rock classics like Ram Jam’s “Black Betty”, “Amie” by Pure Prairie League and “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” by Elvin Bishop Band.

Then strap in for the second set with a 75- minute tribute to Southern Rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd. You will hear all of your favorites from “Call Me the Breeze” to “Gimme Three Steps”, “What’s Your Name”, “That Smell” and of course, “Simple Man”, “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Free Bird” in its entirety.
