Scheduling

Please fill out a field trip request form. Field trips are scheduled on a one-year rolling calendar. For questions, email fieldtrips@cantigny.org.

Field Trip Basics

School-sanctioned, scheduled field trips are free of charge for both students and chaperones, including home school communities.

Reservations are required, and are available on weekdays, excluding Tuesday. The park is closed in January and open Friday-Sunday in February.

Please allow up to two weeks to schedule a field trip.

Lunch will add 30-45 minutes to your field trip time. Lunch periods must be requested ahead of time.

Arrival Procedures

Arrival is scheduled for 30 minutes before your first program allowing time to disembark, use the restrooms, and attend a brief orientation.

Please be on time. Late arrivals will not be guaranteed their scheduled program. Your start time is clearly indicated in your confirmation form.

If you are running late or must cancel, call 630.260.8162. Late arrivals will not receive a complete program. Any group arriving more than 15 minutes past their scheduled arrival time cannot be guaranteed a program at all, and will be accommodated only if space and time are available.

If your program is canceled due to late arrival, your group can explore the park until your next program time. We ask your cooperation so that we may accommodate as many school groups as possible. If you must cancel, please do so at least two weeks in advance if possible.
